The miniature world is becoming more beautiful: With the free, so-called Super Duper update, Minecraft is to get a new graphics system. In addition, there should be further improvements on the servers.
The undercurrent sun throws its rays over the world - soon it is also possible in the vastness of Minecraft. On the E3 2017 in Los Angeles, the developer studio Mojang, Microsoft, has announced the free Super Duper update, which will update the graphics of the blocking game from scratch.
- Engine
The improvements presented in the video on the basis of the Bedrock engine are clearly visible. In addition to light and shadow effects, there are reflecting water surfaces and numerous detail improvements. Plants and similar objects are also more detailed so that even more lively worlds can be created in the future. The update is also to support 4K resolutions. When exactly Minecraft becomes "super duper", and for which systems, Microsoft did not yet participate.
Already in the summer of 2017, according to current planning, the support of Crossplay will also come with a free update. Say: Minecraft players can meet with each other, regardless of the platform they use. This is confirmed for Windows 10 and the Xbox One, but also for VR headsets, tablets and the Nintendo Switch, which is built up of blocks in the trailer. In the medium term, only a single Minecraft will be available, which can be accessed from all systems.
Technically crossplay with the PS4 should not be a big problem, however, Sony has against the necessary opening of its platforms blocked. Perhaps this is something to be learned in the coming days. Also, the Java editions remain for the time being excluded from the project Unifying Minecraft.
Mojang also announced that it should be easier to play on their own servers in the future. There will also be a number of new objects, including colored glass and fireworks. The recipe book is not only intended to simplify the work for construction and Baumeister users on the Java version but on all platforms.
