A New Ransomware virus Is Attacking Android Smartphones called "WannaLocker"

The new virus called "WannaLocker" is a malicious Ransomware program inspired by the WannaCry virus. It encrypts all your photos and applications on the phone and you have to pay for decryption.

The new virus comes from China and targets the Android smartphones, and is published in the download forums of games for these devices, and this virus hides itself as an addition to the game "King of Glory".



After the virus is downloaded to the device, it encrypts data and information. The hacker orders a ransom of 40 yuan in Chinese currency, equivalent to about US $ 6, to retrieve files or remove the virus. The new WannaLocker was first spotted by a Chinese security company called Qihoo 360. Indicates that the virus affects files stored on the external storage of the infected device.
